Events
At St. Agnes, we nurture a strong reading culture through initiatives like Book Week and DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). Learners enjoy activities such as role plays, book cover designs, treasure hunts, reviews, and summaries, all aimed at making reading fun and impactful.
We also celebrate the rich diversity within our school community by organizing Cultural Days, where different nationalities showcase their food, dress, language, and traditions, fostering unity and appreciation of one another’s heritage.
In addition, our Science Fairs keep learners engaged with the fast-changing world of technology, climate issues, and innovation. These events inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing learners for the future.
Learning Beyond Books
To foster a strong reading culture among our learners, St. Agnes organizes annual Book Week events. These events go hand in hand with other reading initiatives such as DEAR (Drop Everything And Read), ensuring that children develop a lifelong love for reading. During Book Week, learners take part in a wide range of engaging activities including character role play, designing creative book covers, participating in treasure hunts, writing book summaries, and preparing thoughtful book reviews. These activities not only make reading enjoyable but also nurture imagination, comprehension, and self-expression.
St. Agnes is a vibrant community that embraces and celebrates diversity. Our school is home to learners from different cultural backgrounds, ethnic groups, and nationalities who live and learn together harmoniously. To promote cultural awareness and appreciation, we hold Cultural Days, where learners showcase their heritage through traditional dress, cuisine, languages, dances, and unique ways of life. This celebration of diversity fosters respect, unity, and a deeper understanding of one another.
Recognizing the ever-changing world we live in, St. Agnes also places great emphasis on science and innovation. We regularly organize Science Fairs that expose learners to advancements in technology, environmental awareness, climate change issues, and scientific discoveries. These fairs are designed to inspire curiosity, encourage innovation, and sharpen critical thinking and problem-solving skills, equipping learners with the mindset needed to thrive in the modern world.
Project Work
Through project work, our learners are able to research, compose and finally present before the rest of the classmates. Through class project work presentations, our children learn to be confident, critical thinkers and better communicators.
